Maybe we are not destroying our planet, but what if we are?
Maybe environmental pollution is not the result of man’s actions, but what if it is?
Maybe the Political vision is not destroying the democracybut what if?
Maybe verbal violence does not cause physical harm, but what if it does?
Maybe the one who Majorities crush minorities in Congressdoes not cause harm to the Mexican people, but what if it does?
Sometimes we will have to evaluate what we are doing and the possible damage we are causing, to decide if we continue the same or avoid taking risks by changing our approach.
We will have to evaluate profits and losses. In my opinion, when we stop listening to minorities, when we crush them by considering the aberrant argument of “politically correct”, we are moving away from the basic features of democratic and republican courtesy.
Perhaps the political ambitions of the majority are sowing discord among the least and thereby hurting the people who are not heard through these minorities.
In my opinion, the mission of the entire political world should be the perfection of democracy, an objective that we must place far above any personal ambition, or any partisan objective.
Democracy is everyone’s task and it cannot depend solely on the will of the majorities with that repugnant attitude of crushing minorities.
We will have to evaluate if by taking care of the pennies we are neglecting the pesos, if by satisfying partisan ambitions, we are destroying the progress achieved so far in a republican policy, in which we believed that for years we had left behind the concentration of power in one single person, we had already created autonomous organizations and division of powers to guarantee that democracy
It is not valid to go back, we have to evaluate and preserve what we have gained and in no way go back.
For a dignified and united Mexico, let us make a pact to continue advancing towards democracy and the consolidation of our republican organization.
