The service Meteorological National (SMN) of Mexico has issued a warning of continuity in the rain storm intense to torrential in the east and southeast of the countryincluding the Yucatan Peninsula.
This climate phenomenoninfluenced by low pressure areas with cyclonic development potential and the entrance of humidity of the monsoon troughwill mainly affect states like Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo with Torrential rainswhile Veracruz, Guerrero and Puebla will experience very heavy rains.
These weather conditions, which will persist during the night and early morning of the Mondaythey will not only bring precipitation significant, but are also anticipated to be accompanied by electrical discharges and gusts of wind of up to 70 km/h, with the possibility of the formation of waterspouts on the affected coasts.
In addition, there is a high risk that these rains will increase the levels of rivers and streams, and cause landslides and flooding in low-lying areas of the aforementioned states.
Simultaneously, another low pressure system over the northwest, west and center of Mexico, combined with the humidity of the Pacific Ocean and atmospheric instability, will generate heavy rains in Chihuahua and Durango, as well as showers in regions such as Sinaloa, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Nayarit , Jalisco, Colima, State of Mexico and Morelos.
These rains will also be marked by electrical shocks and gusts of wind, with the possibility of hail.
The SMN also warns of strong gusts of wind of up to 70 km/h that could generate whirlwinds in Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, in addition to possible dust devils in Baja California and Sonora.
For tomorrow, the rainy season is expected to continue affecting the southeast and east of the country, as well as the Yucatan Peninsula, due to the persistence of low pressure areas and the continued influence of the monsoon trough.
In the midst of these adverse conditions, the SMN also predicts that temperatures will remain extremely high in much of the national territory, with values that could exceed 40°C in 13 states.
