The Russian comedian Maxim Galkin, in one of the episodes of his show, “humiliated” the Ukrainian language by reading a converted version of a poem by the poet Taras Shevchenko, writes the “Observer” portal.
It is noted that this happened in the release of the artist’s musical show, in which two singers from different eras evaluate the work of contemporary performers. According to the authors of the material, in the release with the participation of actor Nikita Dzhigurda and blogger Kyivstoner, the comedian allegedly did not like that the guests began to discuss Ukraine.
Galkin, as the “Observer” writes, asked the viewers “to change the settings in order to switch back to Russian”, after which he read out the “shamefully altered poem” by Taras Shevchenko.
Maxim Galkin was added to the list of persons threatening the national security of Ukraine on November 4. It is noted that the artist was added to the list by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy at the direction of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
In August 2015, the department published a list of cultural figures who “pose a threat to the national security of the country.” The list of such artists includes Oleg Gazmanov, Iosif Kobzon, Valeria Perfilova (stage name – Valeria), Sergey Penkin, Alexander Rosenbaum, Yulia Chicherina. The list is regularly updated.
