Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) continued to show that he is the fastest driver in Austin on a perfect Saturday in which he first achieved pole position, beating the very young Pedro Acosta, and then with a masterful victory in the sprint race, his second victory in the season, ahead of Marc Márquez and Jorge Martín, who completed a very Spanish podium.
Viñales claimed pole position in qualifying to lead the race from start to finish and take the points. The fourth and fifth classified also had a Spanish accent. Pedro Acosta finished in fourth place and Aleix Espargaró rounded out the national celebration in Austin.
