What happened to Morpheus?
According to the Digital Spy portal, Resurrections confirms that the three previous The matrix films are actually a video game saga created by Thomas Anderson. In this case, the Morpheus of Abdul-Mateen II is in charge of revealing to the protagonist that his world is not real.
However, to know what happened to the character originally played by Fishburne, we have to go back to the year 2005, when a video game called The matrix was launched, which had the approval of the Wachowski sisters by stating that it was even a continuation of the narrative of the films.

However, when he assumed his new position, he ignored the rumors of threats against him that spread in the city of machines, which not only ended with the destruction of Zion, but also led to his death.
