What fans were asking for has arrived. Through its social networks, Warner Bros released a new full trailer for Matrix: resurrections, which brings back to the screen Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss). The couple will not only have to face more than one problem, but they will also have to fight for their freedom.
The story also includes Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who seem to be playing a new version of Morpheus, a character that Laurence Fishburne brought to life in the first trilogy.

Matrix 4: Resurrections Trailer
Directed and written by Lana Wachowski – the only sister to return as director – Matrix resurrections follows Neo after the events of the previous films. The strange thing is that the protagonist seems to remember nothing of his life with Trinity, nor the events that led him to know the other reality. With the passage of the scenes we see that the scene is becoming clearer, but also the return of a character who would be taking the place of Morpheus. Now he will offer Neo the red pill.
Beyond what we’ll see in the story, this trailer may or may not reveal large sections of its plot. Gunfights, brawls, and even some new Neo powers, like the ability to make vehicles explode in style, have been what has caught fans the most attention.
Matrix resurrections is directed by Lana Wachowski, who was in charge of the original trilogy with her sister Lily. The film also stars Christina Ricci, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Jada Pinkett Smith, who reprises her role as Niobe from the original films.
Matrix Resurrections opens in theaters on December 22, 2021.
