At least four people have died in the Ukrainian region of Lviv, in the west of the country, and another has died in Dnipropetrovsk, in the southeast, after the massive bombardments that the Russians launched last morning on different parts of Ukraine.
As explained in his Telegram account, Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Military Administration of the Lviv region, “in the Zolochiv district, an enemy missile fell on a residential area. A fire started. The fire has already been put out.”
“At this moment it is known that there are four dead. These are four adults. Two men and two women,” he added, before specifying that the victims were at home when the missile fell.
Rescue teams are continuing to clear the rubble as there may be other people below.
According to Kozytskyi, the fire destroyed at least three residential buildings, and also affected three cars, a garage and several outbuildings.
For his part, Ihor Hrynkiv, mayor of the city of Zolochiv, in the Lviv region, reported that the tragedy occurred in the town of Velyka Vilshanytsia and detailed that the rescue teams are looking for a person further under the rubble she is found missing.
Russian forces have also attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and missiles, killing one civilian and wounding two more, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the regional Military Administration.
“A 34-year-old man was killed in an artillery shell. A 28-year-old woman and a 19-year-old boy were injured. They were hospitalized. Enemy attacks caused several fires in the (Nikopol) district,” according to Lysak.
After several weeks of relative calm away from the front, Russia launched a new massive attack last morning on ten different areas of Ukraineincluding the capital, kyiv, and two other large cities in the country such as Kharkiv and Odessa, according to the Ukrainian authorities.
The attack, for which Russia has used dozens of cruise missiles fired from the Black Sea, has targeted electrical infrastructure, although some of them have hit residential areas.
