The Ministry of Public Health of Uruguay released on Wednesday (13) new guidelines on the use of masks in the country, which provide that their use is no longer mandatory on public roads and open spaces.
The new guidelines were released as part of a “transition stage” of measures to fight the Covid-19 pandemic – on Wednesday, the moving average of new cases in Uruguay was at 127 records, and that of deaths was zero.
The new rules stipulate, however, that in crowded or crowded places, such as neighborhood fairs and outdoor businesses, the use of masks is recommended.
The use of a face mask in closed and open spaces is also recommended in all events with crowds of people when it is assured that the participants are with the complete vaccination schedule.
The use of masks in closed spaces is mandatory in all events with crowds of people if not all participants are fully vaccinated, as well as those held in open spaces under the same conditions. In all cases, a minimum safe distance between people must be maintained.
