Maserati MC20 Cielo, the supercar becomes a convertible

Maserati has unveiled the open-top version of the MC20 super sports car, called Sky. We are talking about a car with an elegant and sporty design at the same time, which as in the traditional version of the model is equipped with butterfly doors that allow a much more convenient and comfortable entry and exit from the passenger compartment. Furthermore, from an aesthetic point of view, the launch version is characterized by the new metallic tri-layer color Aquamarineavailable as part of the Maserati Fuoriserie personalization program.

The key feature of the new MC20 Cielo obviously concerns the driving experience in the open: just press a button and in just twelve seconds the electrochromed roof of the super sports car opens. But it is not the only way to fully enjoy the experience of driving a spider: if you prefer to savor the all-encompassing atmosphere in the passenger compartment, in fact, just another touch is enough to make the roof from opaque become transparent (with a further touch makes it dull again). Maserati also in this case relies on the concept of innovation: the cutting-edge PDLC technology in fact, it allows you to look at the stars despite the closed roof, the change of transparency takes place in an instant and works at practically all temperatures, and the acoustic insulation allows you to remain trapped in absolute comfort. In short, a one-of-a-kind car that is now also available for those who dream of driving a Trident car “in the open”.

As with the standard MC20, the Cielo version of the Trident super sports car is also equipped with the engine Neptune, a twin-turbo V6 petrol engine developed internally by the Italian company with technology derived from Formula 1 and capable of unleashing the extraordinary power of 630 HP in 3,000 cc of displacement. News instead for what concerns the active safety systems: in addition to the parking sensors, the rear camera and the blind spot monitoring already present on the MC20 from MY22, in fact, the autonomous emergency brake, traffic sign information and a new 360 ° camera are introduced on the spider.
