The Secretary of the Government of Mexico City (Secgob), Marti Batres, met with the mayor-elect in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, Sandra Cuevas, where the next president stated that they will work in unity for the good of the demarcation.
At this meeting, the former senator of the Republic, Martí Batres, confirmed his offer to meet with the opposition mayors and maintain an open dialogue.
Meanwhile, Sandra Cuevas raised two priority objectives that she will have during her administration: safety in the demarcation and respect when trading you and the public thoroughfare so as not to affect third parties and health issues.
In turn, he considered that this meeting is the first coordination step to guarantee that Cuauhtémoc will be the best mayor’s office in 18 months.
“We had a positive, productive, institutional meeting; with the aim of joining forces and working in a coordinated manner, for the benefit of the residents of Cuauhtémoc ”, said the mayor upon leaving the meeting.
The elected mayor in Cuauhtémoc stated that there was a commitment from both parties to work in a coordinated, institutional and respectful manner.
“Because everything we do will have to add up in favor of the more than 550 thousand residents of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office,” he said.
And he maintained that, as an authority in Cuauhtémoc, they will have to be respectful and institutional, while continuing to measure results in favor of the population that gave them confidence on June 6 at the polls.
It should be noted that the Secretary of the Government of Mexico City, Martí Batres, has already met with several elected opposition mayors such as Mauricio Tabe by Miguel Hidalgo and Adrian Ruvalcaba of Cuajimalpa.
