Marquez also closes at KTM
Very important day for KTM. The Mattighofen company has in fact made the transition to Pedro’s factory team official Acosta starting from the 2025 season: a secret that was no longer a secret, considering the important performances of the rookie (already with two podiums this season) but still a movement to be formalized also to respond to market rumors. Rumors that obviously concern Marc Marquezcompared to KTM and which in interviews has never denied the Austrian hypothesis for 2025.
Guidotti’s words
Apparently, however, Marquez also said no to the KTM. This is reported by Francesco Guidottiteam manager of the factory team: “Marc is not available. As far as I know, it was clear and he wants to stay where he is now. It would be strange if he changed two bikes in two years, this means that he would ride three bikes in three years“, these are the words released to TNT Sports. And if Marquez were available, would KTM sign him? Guidotti prefers to prevaricate: “We need to be realistic and talk about actual things, without conditionals“.
Marquez has set clear limits for the 2025 bike: it must be updated to the latest evolution, even better if in a factory team that has all the structures to support him in the title race. Evidently, KTM only promised him a place in GasGas (as we reported) knowing full well that they were promoting Acosta to the factory team alongside Brad Binder. At this point Marquez will necessarily remain in Italy: if it isn’t Ducati (and if he remains faithful to his words, he shouldn’t even remain in Gresini unless Pramac says goodbye to Borgo Panigale which could allow him to ride the GP25), the The only level alternative he has left is theAprilia.
Miller’s future
Acosta’s move to the official team also closes the doors for Jack Miller. The Australian could remain in the KTM universe by relegating to GasGas, where Augusto Fernandez also seems to be in the balance, but he has not yet accepted the proposal. Guidotti himself confirmed it between the lines: “We talked to Jack, we would like him to stay on the project. He is evaluating the situation, clearly there are opportunities not only for the teams but also for the riders and everyone is working to get the most out of this market“.
