The great-nephew of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, was shot dead this Tuesday (6) in Rio Branco (AC). Cauã Nascimento Silva was 19 years old. The information was given by the minister herself in a post on the social network X, formerly Twitter.
“With immense regret and pain, I receive the news that my great-nephew Cauã Nascimento Silva, aged 19, was murdered this Tuesday (6/2) in Rio Branco, Acre. Cauã was a victim of crime that destroys the lives of mainly young people from neighborhoods on the outskirts of our country. May God sustain and comfort our family.”
Marina recovers after test positive for covid-19 last week. It is not the first time that the minister has contracted Covid-19. In May last year, Marina was admitted to the Heart Institute of Hospital das Clínicas (InCor), in São Paulo, after testing positive for the disease. She was discharged after four days.
