Monterrey.- Mariana Rodríguez, former Citizen Movement candidate for Mayor of Monterrey, announced that she is seeking the annulment of the election where she lost to Adrián de la Garza, nominated by the PAN, PRI and PRD coalition.
The wife of Governor Samuel García stood in front of a blanket with “It’s for Monterrey”, with letters in a blue tone, no longer the orange color of the party that supported her.
The former candidate said that she was there as a citizen to defend the June 2 vote.
Rodríguez called De la Garza an electoral criminal and pointed out 23 reasons to present the challenge.
These mainly included the action that ministerial agents would have carried out.
He indicated that the agents prevented the opening of polling stations, they illegally closed some of them before 6:00 p.m.; he was intimidated and MC sympathizers were illegally detained.
“Ministerials mobilized the vote in favor of Adrián de la Garza,” he accused.
He pointed out that once the election day concluded, they asked polling station representatives to delay the counting of votes due to the alleged presence of shootings in surrounding areas.
In addition, he said, they illegally transported electoral packages.
“Let’s not allow the PRI and the electoral criminal, Adrián de la Garza, to steal an election for the third time, to steal Monterrey’s right to decide,” said Mariana Rodríguez.
