The general director of Strategic Planning and Projects of the ADIF, María Luisa Domínguez González, will be the new president of the public entity, replacing Isabel Pardo de Vera, who will be the new Secretary of State for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, a position that the ranks number two in the Ministry of Transport led by Raquel Sánchez after taking over from José Luis Ábalos. Both appointments will be approved in the next Council of Ministers
Domínguez was since 2018 General Director of Strategic Planning and Projects in the railway administrator, and as such was responsible for the company’s strategy, functional planning of the network, infrastructure projects and architecture of the entire network, and the international relations.
The new president of Adif will have, among other great challenges, to welcome a large amount of funds from Europe, within the framework of the recovery plans, as well as to continue in the process of rail liberalization, with the entry of new competitors for Renfe
Domínguez is a Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1993), graduated in Law from the National University of Distance Education (2006) and has a Master’s Degree in International Strategic Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2016) . In the private sector, she has worked at Intraesa, from 1992 to 1998, as project manager for linear works infrastructure. In the public sector, she joined Adif in 1998 as a technician and has assumed new responsibilities over the years as project manager and manager, as well as deputy director and manager.
Pedro Saura, to Paradores
For his part, the until now Secretary of State for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and president of Enaire, Pedro Saura, has been appointed the new president of Paradores to replace Óscar López, after he became Chief of Staff of the President of the Government .
