The Opposition Vente Venezuela party has denounced on Monday the death in custody of one of its leaders in the state of Trujillo, in the northwest of the country, after it was “kidnapped” in early January, a crime that the leaders of the opposition María Corina Machado has attributed to the “regime” of the country’s president, Nicolás Maduro.
In a message in his account of the social network X, Machado has accused the Venezuelan authorities of the kidnapping and subsequent “murder” of Reinaldo Araujo, leader of the aforementioned political formation in the municipality of Valera, “for her work in the deed of the deed July 28 », date on which presidential elections were held in the Latin American country.
«Reinaldo was a good man, a husband, son and loving father, an unconditional friend, an exemplary citizen. His love for Venezuela and his family always kept him firm. Previously, Vente Venezuela had announced that Araujo has died on Monday “in custody” in the Juan Ignacio Montilla parish of the municipality of Valera, after being “kidnapped by the regime” on January 9. The formation has warned of the conditions that “the political prisoners who suffer today pathologies face and are at considerable risk«, after his wife denounced his state of health and demanded health care for him.
