Mexico.- Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony J. Blinken on the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
It was through a publication on social networks that the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that this dialogue was mainly focused on sharing perspectives regarding Ukraine.
“I had a cordial conversation with Antony Blinken, (Secretary of State) of the United States (sic), we shared our perspectives on Ukraine, as well as on the very good bilateral relationship,” Ebrard wrote on Twitter.
About Anthony Blinken recognized Mexico as an important partner and highlighted the conversation with Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard.
“Mexico continues to be an important partner in our work to promote democracy and security. I had a very good call today with Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, reiterating the global call for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine,” Blinken wrote on social media.
This bilateral conversation comes days after the US Secretary of State had indirect confrontations with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, pointing out that the increase in murdered journalists in Mexico is worrying.
