Mexico.- The Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard reported an explosion in the adjoining building of the Mexico’s embassy in Ukraine in the city of Kiev, work was suspended at the Mexican foreign service office.
Through his Twitter account, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, indicated about the notification made to him by the Ambassador Olga Garcia, who was unable to enter the Mexican embassy due to the explosion in the area.
“Our ambassador Olga García from Kiev informs me that they did not allow her access to our Embassy because there was an explosion in the adjoining building, she is attending from the residence. I recognize her extraordinary courage to continue supporting Mexicans in Ukraine,” Foreign Minister Ebrard wrote.

Mexicans evicted from Ukraine
On the other hand, and as a measure for the protection of nationals, Marcelo Ebrard announced the departure of Mexicans from Ukrainian territory through buses.
“Bus leaving Ivano-Frankivsk bound for Romania with Mexicans supported by the protection protocol in charge of our embassies in Ukraine and Romania. It was quite a negotiation that the owner of the bus did not cancel them, they succeeded. Well done,” wrote the Foreign Secretary on Twitter, along with images of the men, women and children placed in front of a bus.
In addition, Ebrard reported in the same way that the Mexican ambassador to Romania, Guillermo Ordorica, is already in the Romanian city of Siret, on the border with Ukraine, to “wait for and support the first 22 Mexicans who will arrive with the support of the protection protocol organized in combination with Olga García Guillén, ambassador to Ukraine,” he explained.
The Mexican ambassador to Ukraine, Olga García Guillén, explained on Thursday that they have identified around 230 Mexicans, spouses and children, in Ukraine.
Last week the transfer of some thirty of them was carried out within the Ukraine, being located until this Friday on the border with Romania, the country to which a good part of them are being transferred.
He also reported that recently 50 more people have contacted the embassy.

Mexico, which had been more cautious at first, on Thursday “strongly” condemned the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, in the words of Ebrard, who at the same time called for the “immediate cessation” of the attacks.
