Marcelo Bielsa’s cycle at the helm of Leeds United ended last weekend, when the manager was sacked due to poor results in the most recent Premier League season.
Four defeats in a row (3-0 against Everton, 2-4 against Manchester United, 6-0 against Liverpool and 0-4 against Tottenham), sentenced the departure of the Argentine, who returned the club to the English first division a year and a half ago after 16 years old.

Leeds fans are still grateful to Bielsa
Despite the recent poor results, which have Leeds in the fight not to be relegated (he is in box 16, with 23 points, only two above the red zone), the love of Leeds fans for Bielsa is not has lost and many expressed their appreciation for what he accomplished with the team.
In addition to his work at the club, Bielsa also left several anecdotes that made his nickname ‘Loco’ more valuable than ever, many of them related to his translator, the Colombian Andrés Clavijo. It should be remembered that the Argentine coach never learned English and his press conferences were always accompanied by an interpreter.
What happened to Clavijo, now that Bielsa has left Leeds United? Well, he also lost his job. To him there were also many messages of thanks from the fans.

Marcelo Bielsa’s translator’s farewell
Clavijo made a post on his Instagram account, in which he said goodbye to the club and thanked for the good treatment he received.
“I am sad to report that I too will be leaving the club along with Marcelo and the rest of his staff. It’s been an incredible 2 years at the club. They treated me like one of their own from the very beginning, and I am immensely grateful for that. The club and the fans will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to all the staff, players and fans for some unforgettable memories,” Clavijo wrote.
