Marcello Mutti, industrial captain of the canning company, has died
Marcello Mutti, captain of industry of the historic canning company in the tomato sector, has died at the age of 83.
“The legacy he leaves us is that of seeing the company as a value, based on the importance of planning and construction. A company where attention and respect towards people must be a priority. My father was a shy man but with a very big heart, who had an innate culture of giving. He loved nature very much and when he saw it ‘trampled’ he suffered a lot. He loved nature and its large spaces, those of the plains and those of Africa, where the gaze is lost in the infinite. He was very attached to Parma, but he always preferred the horizons of the Piazza to the city. He adored his family: my mother Angelita, who looked after him with such care, and my daughter Costanza” declared his son Francesco, current CEO of the company.
Born on 25 December 1940, Marcello Mutti was a cutting-edge entrepreneur: in fact, it was his idea to adopt glass as a method of preserving tomatoes, setting up a line entirely dedicated to puree.
