March 14 | Russia secures positions in Donbas
The Russian Army carried out few ground attacks on Sunday, except in Donbas, where it established new positions in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, according to the latest report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). With Monday, however, the offensive has been renewed: the Ukrainian emergency services have reported that two people have died in a bombing of a residential building in north-west Kiev.

At EastKremlin forces launched several attacks in the area north of the besieged city of Mariupol on Sunday. The Ukrainian Army assures that the Russians have taken several towns, but that they have been able to contain the invading offensive in Volnovaja, a town of 21,000 inhabitants devastated by bombing and located between the Sea of Azov and the city of Donetsk, about 65 kilometers from Mariupol. .
At south, the British intelligence service assures that Russia has established a blockade in front of the Ukrainian coast in the Black Sea, with which Ukraine has been isolated from international maritime trade. The Russian naval force maintains missile launches against targets on Ukrainian soil, report the British, who are aware that the invading forces have landed on the coast of the Sea of Azov and anticipate that there will be new landings “in the coming weeks”.
At West, during the weekend there have been Russian bombings against military installations near the Polish border. Ukrainian authorities say that Russia launched about thirty missiles on military facilities in Yavoriv, near Lviv, the last major city in the west of the country on Sunday. After the attacks in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk on Friday, it was the third offensive on an area that until this weekend had been relatively safe.
