The firing incident took place at the Sinpur Dam on the border of Pathalgada and Simaria block. According to information received from eyewitnesses, around a dozen armed CPI Maoists wearing black uniforms reached the spot and started beating many people present with sticks. During this period, members of the armed squad of the banned Naxalite organization took Mukesh Giri, a resident of Tapsa village and beat him.

Businessman shot three shots, died during treatment
