His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honored the Lebanese writer Samir Atallah, winner of the “Media Personality of the Year” award. The award was given to him in recognition of his long career, which he spent serving the Arab press, enriching the Arab media scene, and the great contributions he made to Supporting the progress of the Lebanese press.
His Highness also honored the name of the late Lebanese journalist Giselle Khoury with the “Special Honor” award, in recognition of her journalistic and media career full of achievements, through which she left clear imprints in the Arab media, by presenting many programs on the most prominent Arabic-speaking international news channels, most notably “The Scene” on the BBC, and “With Giselle” on Sky News Arabia, which saw her last appearance on screen.
The Tunisian writer in the Emirati newspaper Al-Khaleej, Abdul Latif Al-Zubaidi, was also honored with the “Best Columnist” award, where the award was given to him in recognition of his intellectual contributions that enriched the Arab press through the numerous articles and ideas he published over the past years in the literary and intellectual fields.
Diaa Rashwan, Chairman of the Award’s Board of Directors, congratulated all media figures and press institutions that succeeded in reaching the podium for the most important media awards at the region level, whether in terms of spread, volume of participation, or financial value of the awards, stressing the keenness of all members of the Board of Directors to honor those with distinguished thinking.
