Manor Lordsthe long-awaited strategy and construction game from Hooded Horse and Slavic Magic, has passed a new milestone in terms of Wishlists of Steam, ahead of its release on April 26th. The game has in fact been on the list for over 3 million playersas indicated by an official press release.
“Slavic Magic did an amazing job,” he says Tim Bender, CEO of Hooded Horse. “We are honored and happy to be his publisher and help him realize his dream.”
Manor Lords Achievements
The success of Manor Lords it obviously didn't come suddenly. The game attracted attention right from the start, and when it was announced, players couldn't wait to try it. The opportunity arrived in 2022 with a demo that alone allowed the game to end up on the wishlist of over 500,000 people.
However, with the arrival of the announcement of the release date, Manor Lords had quadrupled this figure, thus reaching the two million additions to Wishlists.
When the pre-release publicity drive began, the figure rose to 2.5 million. Seven days later (i.e. April 22nd) we arrived at 3 million. Considering that there are still four days left until publication, it is possible that the figure will rise further and approach 3.5 million.
Obviously adding to the Wishlist it doesn't immediately translate into a purchasebut for sure it is a good indication of the level of interest in the game.
Recently, Manor Lords has been making waves as players have discovered that sheep destroy the economy and the authors have to run for cover with a whole new mechanic.
