A man who was driving drugged with cocaine was arrested on Tuesday by the Municipal Police of the Spanish capital after break into a stolen car in the ladders from a passenger transport station in the south of the city.

The detainee, 36 years old and a foreigner, stole the vehicle from the metro parking lot in the nearby town of Getafe. The car belonged to a worker who had left the keys in the ignition, according to police sources.
Later, the man headed towards Madrid along the Toledo highway, entered the Plaza Elíptica transport interchange through the exclusive bus access and circulated inside.

Finally, it was embedded in one of the stairs of the facilities, after breaking several glass doors of the place.
When the agents arrived, the man was trying to get out of the car, which had already been reported stolen by Getafe metro employees.
The suspect was treated by the health services and transferred to a hospital, although he was unharmed.

Firefighters from the Madrid City Council proceeded to remove the vehicle from the stairs, a maneuver complicated by the place where it was embedded.
The detainee, who is also accused of reckless driving, was tested for drugs and alcohol, and tested positive for cocaine.
