He wanted to move the container, but didn’t want to walk himself
“Work smart, not hard,” is the saying. This man from the Dutch municipality of Landerd must have thought that too. Last week he wanted to put his waste container a little further down the street, but didn’t really feel like walking. His solution? He attached the roll container to the tow bar of his car, probably with the idea of putting the bin at the end of the street and driving on himself.
A great plan, but then you should not forget to remove the container from the towbar. Before he reached the end of the street, he had already forgotten that the container was behind the car. Moments later, the man turned happily onto the highway. For example, he was on the A59 near Oss with the container still attached to its tow bar. The man later reported to the Landerd municipality with a request for a new container and then explained his story. Something with priorities.
According to his own words, the man came two kilometers on the highway before the Kliko came loose and came to a stop against the guard rail. The municipality of Landerd reports to TopGear that they have quality containers, so they can do that. ‘Could happen’, the employee concludes, but they advise against transporting their roll container in this way.
