His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, met with His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the sisterly State of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the “Green Middle East Initiative” summit inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and concluded its work yesterday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The meeting dealt with the well-established brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, which had a great impact in strengthening bilateral cooperation at all levels under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait . The two sides discussed Arab and international efforts to preserve the environment, deal with climate change, its impact on the global economy, the importance of the efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this field, and the positive effects of those efforts on the countries of the region and the world, and their contribution to facing environmental challenges and improving the quality of life.

The meeting dealt with the brotherly relations that unite the two countries and their peoples under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, which is based on solid foundations of brotherhood, respect, understanding and joint cooperation for what It is good for the two brotherly countries and peoples. The two sides discussed the efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to preserve the environment and the sustainability of natural resources in the region, through the launch of the “Green Middle East Initiative”, which aims to plant 50 billion trees, to reduce carbon emissions, combat pollution and damage the soil, and the support that this initiative enjoys. A great number of world leaders and leaders, because of its benefits at the regional and international levels, the most important of which are facing environmental challenges and improving the quality of life.
