Venezuela has developed, certified and begins production of a multipurpose light aircraft and multifunctional drones. This was stated by the President of the country Nicholas Maduro during the TV broadcast about innovations in the field of transport. The video was published on his page Twitter…
“Two of the prototype trainer aircraft are made entirely in Venezuela,” Maduro said.
In addition to light aircraft, which are also intended for use in agriculture and aerial surveillance, Maduro presented a multifunctional drone and announced the imminent start of mass production.
For the purpose of servicing the aircraft fleet, the country’s authorities are creating a National Aviation Service Center.
Together with the National Aviation Company, which produces new aircraft and drone, they “will contribute to national development and security,” Maduro explained.
In late September, Maduro ordered the creation of a military scientific council to work on the country’s own weapons system. He stressed that the country is ready to arm itself, despite the sanctions, and it needs its own national military industry.
