The Madrid City Council will auction almost 250 vehicles of the Municipal Mobile Park from Thursday, March 27. It is a measure promoted by the area of economy, innovation and hacienda, and seeks to give a second life to public service vehicles, such as motorcycles, cars, vans, buses and trucks.
Every citizen who wishes can bid online ‘(www.iagaution.com) until the night of April 10, in a process managed by the specialist company INTERNATIONAL AUCTION GROUP SLselected in a bidding process within the framework of the Public Sector Contract Law.
It will be a total of 248 vehicles that go to auction, with a starting price of 180 euros for motorcycles, 300 euros for cars and 500 euros for vans. The auction also includes bus units and trucks and municipal machinery in disuse, such as dump trucks or excavators. Others will also be auctioned to flatter and destined to supply spare parts.
All vehicles have gone through a previous process of depersonalization of municipal corporate elements, such as stickers or vinyl, and in the case of police sirens they have been cleaned and repaired to improve their status.
During the two weeks in which you can bid, those interested can also visit the vehicles to which they are opting for the facilities that the company has enabled for the entire process in San Martín de la Vega, on March 25, 26 and 27 and April 3, 3, 4 and 5 both in the morning -from 09.00 to 14.00 hours -and afternoon -from 15.30 to 18.30
Through this auction, the executive led by José Luis Martínez-Almeida intends to show his commitment to the promotion of the circular economy, promoting the reuse of materials and products, avoiding unnecessary waste and saving costs.
