As of yesterday, Chihuahua was positioned as the state most affected by these incidents, of which the fight continues, and it is expected that they will be prolonged this season due to the drought that affects the state territory, reported yesterday: Humberto Molinar, director of Forestry Development and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Rural Development, as well as the operational head of the CEPC, Heber Daniel Ortega.
Ciudad Madera, where one of the active fires is currently being fought, has a total affected area of 8,891 hectares. This is followed by the municipality of Guadalupe y Calvo, which historically is the municipality that each season occupies the first place in terms of fire damage and which in 2024 will reach 8,700 hectares.
Lastly is Bocoyna, with an affected area of 7,081 hectares.
