A giant 3D-printed capsule intended for assisted suicide can be used legally in Switzerland. The company Exit International obtained permission to use its product, the Sarco machine, in cases of euthanasia, in accordance with local press.
The “suicide capsule” works through two processes called hypoxia and hypocapnia: the first reduces the concentration of oxygen in the organs and bloodstream, while the second lowers the carbon dioxide content in the blood.

The machine releases a gas that induces coma and then death, but without the sensation of suffocation. Death occurs between 5 and 10 minutes.
As it can be easily transported, Philip Nitschke’s invention, “Dr. Death” can be used anywhere – customers can choose where they want to die.
Finally, the capsule even turns into a coffin.
