The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, had directed the start of the actual transfer of the government district in the new administrative capital, as a start of work for an experimental transitional period that begins in December and will continue for 6 months.
The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, considered that the government meeting is a historic event in the new republic announced by Sisi, according to the statement issued by the government in its weekly meeting.
Madbouly stressed that the meeting in the government district in the new administrative capital is a “strong and clear message to the world that Egypt is taking strong and strong steps towards the future despite all challenges.”
According to the statement, the government meeting comes within the framework of starting the gradual transition to work from the new administrative capital, stressing that it is important for the competent teams in each ministry to start operating for the ministries’ buildings.
Madbouly directed that every Egyptian minister should have an integrated plan for this gradual transition, and that there should be a gradual presence of ministers in the new government buildings.
He explained that the move to the new administrative capital is not only a geographical move, but rather a change of the entire administrative work system in the state’s administrative apparatus.
He pointed out that “what has been achieved (within 5 years) may take time periods of no less than 15 or 20 years in other countries.”
Mostafa Madbouly said that the meetings of the Egyptian government will be alternately a week in the headquarters of the new administrative capital and a week in the old headquarters of the council, so that two meetings per month will be held in the administrative capital in light of the start of the gradual transition towards the latter.
