Madagascar is experiencing its lowest hours due to a famine directly caused by global warming, the first on the planet linked to the phenomenon.
According to the UN, some 1.5 million people on the island suffer from the serious food crisis and several dozen have died of hunger. The droughts, which give no truce, leave a trail of misery before the already bleak outlook.
