The candidate thanks those who have blocked the access to power of the extreme right
Emmanuel Macron celebrated his second victory over Marine Le Pen on the Champ de Mars, in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. A privileged scenario, despite the fact that his victory leaves doubts, after five years of residence in the Elysee (the French presidential palace) about his management and the fact that more than 40% of the French voted for the candidate of the extreme right.
The French president, who will continue in office for the next five years, has assured that he will govern for all French people, including those who have voted for Le Pen. “I will be the president of all,” he has claimed.
“We have a lot to do. The war in Ukraine is there to remind us that we are going through tragic times in which France must show the clarity of her voice and develop her strength in all areas”, she emphasized.
Macron has thanked followers and militants of La República en Marcha and, in addition, has had words for those who have voted for him only to “block” the extreme right, as well as those who have abstained. He has promised to “respond” to this “silence” as well.
