Roe vs. Wade, of 1973, and to return to the American states the freedom to legislate on abortion.

The US Senate Minority Leader Republican celebrated the overthrow of the 1973 federal jurisprudence on abortion. “This is a historic victory for the Constitution and for the most vulnerable in our society,” said the senator, who described the Supreme Court’s decision as “courageous and correct.”
The former American president (2017-2021) said that “today, life won”. “By taking down Roe v. Wade, the United States Supreme Court has given the American people a fresh start in life, and I commend the majority justices for the courage of their convictions.”

The director general of the World Health Organization (WHO) said he was “very disappointed” to Reuters. “Women’s rights must be protected, and I expected the United States to protect those rights,” he declared.
The former American president (2009-2017) also criticized the Supreme Court’s decision. “Today, the Supreme Court has not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it has relegated the most intensely personal decision anyone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues – attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans,” the Democratic Party politician said.
In a statement, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops pointed out that this Friday “is a historic day in the life of our country, which stirs our thoughts, emotions and prayers”.
“For nearly 50 years, the United States applied an unjust law that allowed some to decide whether others could live or die; this policy resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of unborn children, generations who were denied the right to be born.
