Machado, who is disqualified from holding public office, assured that the initiative, which was supported yesterday by President Nicolás Maduro, It is a violation of the Barbados Agreement signed in October with the opposition.
“The meeting called (…) by the regime ignores the commitment they signed for free and fair elections in the Barbados Agreement. “They want to wash their face by compromising, through threats and blackmail, institutions and people,” Machado warned through his social networks.

The until now unitary opposition candidate also thanked the support of Venezuelans abroad, who yesterday mobilized in countries such as Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Spain and Italy, in support of her candidacy and asking the international community to intercede to achieve her authorization, a fact that would make her the virtual winner of this year's presidential elections.
On the other hand, in the celebration of Chavismo for the 32 years of the coup d'état carried out by Hugo Chávez, Nicolás Maduro assured that they will win (he did not specify whether the elections) “by hook or by crook” and supported the meeting called by Parliament for today.
