Former president met with party politicians in SP in an effort to reverse the defeat suffered in the state in the 1st round
PSD (Social Democratic Party) politicians pressured the party president Gilberto Kassab in relation to support for the former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the 2nd round of the elections.
“The call we have to make here is a call to everyone who defends democracy. And this call has to reach the ears of our president Gilberto Kassab, because his place in history is here, together with us”said the congressman Marcelo Ramos (PSD-AM) after the party met with Lula in São Paulo.
Ramos went to the event to represent Senator Omar Aziz, who was not present. In addition to the deputy, the senator Alexandre Silveira (PSD-MG) spoke of Kassab’s support for PT during the 2nd round of the elections.
According to Silveira, the president of the acronym could not be “in another position” that it was not by Lula’s side. “Our national president, who respects the heterogeneity of the party, has already declared his vote for you”said the senator to the former president.
He also added to have “absolute conviction” of what Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), president of the Senate, is also a PT voter.
O Power 360 sought out the senator’s team to express himself, but received no response until the publication of this report. The space remains open for demonstration.
The speech by Lula and the PSD politicians was broadcast on the Power 360 on Youtube.
