PT held this Saturday, the eve of the 1st round of elections, the “Walk of Victory”
On the eve of the elections, the former president and candidate for the Palácio do Planalto, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (EN), held this Saturday (1st.Oct.2022) the last campaign act on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo. The event was named “Walk of Victory”.
The PT walked to Parque Augusta on top of a pickup truck. Hundreds of supporters gathered to accompany PT, despite the rain.
Geraldo Alckmin (Vice President Candidate) Fernando Haddad (candidate for the government of SP), Márcio França (candidate for senator) and Lúcia França (candidate for vice-governor and wife of Márcio França) also participated in the act.

The walk was scheduled for 11 am. At 12:25 pm, when Lula’s supporters were concentrated on the corner of Avenida Paulista and Rua Augusta, it started to rain.
Alckmin, Haddad and França took rain. Lula only introduced himself when it stopped raining. She climbed into the truck at 12:50. Then the group went down Augusta Street with the supporters.
The act ended around 2 pm in Parque da Augusta, central SP. Lula will speak to the press with Haddad this Saturday.
The PT got an approval in court and Avenida Paulista will also be used by Lula in an eventual victory on Sunday (2.Oct.2022). If he does not win in the 1st round, the PT will make a statement at the Novotel Jaraguá hotel, in the central region of São Paulo, where he will monitor the counting of votes.
Bolsonaro in SP
The largest electoral college in the country, with 34,667,793 voters eligible to vote, São Paulo was also the scene of a motorcycle ride by the president and candidate for reelection. Jair Bolsonaro (PL) this Saturday, with allied supporters and candidates in the state.

Search PowerDate held from September 25th to 27th, 2022 shows Lula leading the dispute with 48% of the intentions of valid votes in the presidential succession, followed by Bolsonaro, with 38%.
As per the research, Ciro Gomes (PDT) has 6% of valid votes; Simone Tebet (MDB), 5%. Felipe d’Avila (New) and Soraya Thronicke (União Brasil) have 1% each. The other names did not score.
The survey was carried out by PowerDategroup company Power360Journalism, with its own resources. The results are published in an editorial partnership with the TV Cultura. Data were collected from September 25 to 27, 2022, through calls to cell phones and landlines. There were 4,500 interviews in 323 municipalities in the 27 units of the Federation. The margin of error is 1.5 percentage points. The confidence interval is 95%. The TSE registration is BR-01426/2022.
