This is the second time that Lula has been infected. The first was during a trip to Cuba between December 2020 and January 2021.
“Both are fine, the asymptomatic former president and Janja with mild symptoms. They will remain in isolation and under medical supervision in the coming days,” the message added. The publication includes a medical certificate detailing that
Lula is “in good general condition.”
The former president was vaccinated against covid-19 four times. The last dose he received, the second booster, was in early April.
Lula, leader in the polls, is in the middle of the presidential campaign, with an agenda full of events in different parts of the country, after officially launching himself as a candidate at the beginning of May.
