This Tuesday (14), former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva commented on the alleged request for help from current President Jair Bolsonaro to the President of the United States, Joe Biden, to win the elections in Brazil. On his Twitter page, Lula said that it was hoped that it was not true “because it would be too humiliating”.
The publication refers to an article published by the Bloomberg agency on Saturday (11). According to the report, Bolsonaro asked Biden for help to win the presidential race this year and portrayed Lula as a “risk to American interests”.

The request would have taken place during the private meeting between the leaders during the Summit of the Americas. After the news broke, Bolsonaro denied that he had made the request, but did not reveal the content of his conversation with the US president.
“There is no such thing. Had an extended bilateral meeting with 20 people in attendance, 30 minutes of conversation and then I asked for a reserved one with Joe Biden. What we treat there is reserved. Anyone can say what they want. What I talked about with Biden does not come out of me and does not come out of Carlos França Minister of Foreign Affairs”, said Bolsonaro, reinforcing that the matter would only be “speculation”.

Is it true what the American press said, that Bolsonaro asked Biden for help against me in the elections? I don’t believe this can be true. Because it would be too humiliating.
