“This is Brazil”, says the president in the first post after the social network was unblocked; Janja stays away from the platform
The president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) returned to use on First Lady Janja Lula da Silva did not comment.
“This is Brazil”, he said the PT member in his most recent publication on the social network.
In addition to Lula, 9 of his 37 ministers also returned to X. Some spoke of national sovereignty. “In Brazil we have memes… and we also have laws!”, declared Macaé Evaristo (Human Rights).

On August 30, when Moraes ordered the suspension of X, some government names had taken advantage of the last moments to publicize their accounts on other social networks, mainly Bluesky and Threads, competitors of Elon Musk’s platform.
The social network was authorized to return to the country on Tuesday (October 8), after paying fines, appointing a legal representative and suspending profiles with a court order to block them.
