The Spanish national coach, Luis de la Fuente, announced this Monday, May 27, the pre-list of 29 players for the two friendly matches that the team will play in preparation for the European Championship in Germany.
And the first reactions to that list have not been long in coming. One of them has been that of Lucas Vázquez, who seems not to have done well at all being left out of the squad. On his Twitter account he has published two emoticons crying with laughter.
After all the commotion that was created, the Real Madrid player proceeded to delete the post but it was too late. Lucas Vázquez has not been a regular in Luis de la Fuente’s calls, however he has had a great final stretch of the season and there were possibilities that the Galician would enter the call.
More news about the Spanish team
As we say, Lucas Vázquez has not entered that short list of 29 from which the final players will be drawn who will represent Spain in the Euro Cup that will be held this summer in Germany between June 14 and July 14.
La Roja will debut in the European tournament on the second day of competition, next June 15 against Croatia. Before, the team will play two friendly preparation matches against Andorra and Ireland, and once those matches are over, Luis de la Fuente will communicate the discards and therefore we will know who are the players who will play in Euro 2024 with Spain.
