Lucas Vázquez will not be available for the Real Madrid tie against Manchester City that starts Tuesday at the Etihad. The Galician trained this morning normally but much after training and on the way home he felt uncomfortable and after medical tests it has been detected that he has a muscle injury in the ischio of his left leg. The estimated leave is about three weeks.
Vázquez logically falls from the call, which was already given and in which it had been included. The decline of the Galician side is very important because it is one more than one defense already shattered, without Carvajal, the other right side or the three holders: Rüdiger, Alaba and Militão.
Vázquez’s decline will force Ancelotti to also disrupt the center of the countryside because it is most likely that Fede Valverde has to play again on the right side, as he already did in Butarque in the Cup against Leganés last Wednesday.
The Italian coach would have other options but are much less likely. He could play on the right with Ferland Mendy (he tried it there on some other occasion years ago without too much success) or with some side of Castilla, such as Aguado. Another option would be Raúl Asencio de Lateral and Mendy and Tchouaméni of centrals.
