According to the document published by the FA, the player who makes up the Brazil national team call for the America Cup“directly sought to influence the progress, conduct or any other aspect or occurrence of these matches by intentionally seeking to receive a card from the referee for the improper purpose of affecting the betting market in order for one or more persons to profit from betting” .
The footballer, who has until June 3 to give a response, published a long message through his social networks, appearing surprised by the accusation made by the FA.

“I am very surprised and upset to see that the FA has decided to charge me. For nine months I have cooperated at every step of the investigation and provided all the information I could,” said the Brazilian.
He added: “I deny the charges in their entirety and will fight with all my might to clear my name. Due to the ongoing process, I will not be commenting further.”
