Debut in IndyCar
In the third race of the championship in Alabama, Italian IndyCar fans had one more reason to attend the weekend: Dale CoyneIn fact, he had promoted to the team Luca Ghiotto, the first ‘blue’ after eight years to compete in a round of the top US open-wheel series. The agreement provided for the participation of the 29-year-old from Arzignano at the Barber Motorsport Park, in the aforementioned Alabama, and on the Indianapolis road circuit.
The great return
With the advent of the 500 Miglia, car #51 was then passed to Tristan Vautier, returning to IndyCar in Detroit, but for this weekend Road America the team is back on track: Ghiotto, in fact, will participate in the race on the road circuit, and then take to the track again on 23 June to Laguna Secathe last act of the championship before the debut of hybrid engines at Mid-Ohio.
The Vicenza native will thus have the opportunity to increase his experience overseas, where he obtained 21st place as his best result in his first race and then finished 25th in Indianapolis: “I am very happy to be back behind the wheel of the Dale Coyne Racing No. 51 for the next two races – he has declared – I enjoyed my first two races in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and had a great time working with Jack Harvey and everyone at Dale Conye Racing.
