Low wages, stress, but also a technological revolution, a change in lifestyle and opportunities: the pandemic has upset work patternstriggering in the Italians a great desire for change. A turning point that aims to make employment something more liveable and compatible with the needs of personal life and more satisfying from a professional and economic point of view. THE workers of the beautiful countryIn fact, more than half want a new job because they are dissatisfied with the current one. And 15% have already activated to look for another job.
To describe the sentiment of the Italians and the evolutions in progress is the survey of the Foundation for Labor Consultants Studies entitled ‘Italians and work in the year of transition’, conducted in collaboration with SWG. A theme that will be addressed during the Labor Festival from 23 to 25 June in Bologna, at the Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi.
A a transversal phenomenon, widespread not only among young people and certain categories of workers, and rather new to a labor market that has always been characterized by stability and low internal turnover. According to the survey, to weigh on the decision to want to turn the page, dissatisfaction (38.7%) and the desire for novelty (35.4%) rather than the need due to the expiry of the contract (9.8%) or fear of losing their job (11.8%).
