The issue of ‘Love Jihad’ is once again in the headlines in the country. While the Bharatiya Janata Party is looking in favor of enacting a law on this, the Congress is seen opposing it. Congress leaders are attacking the BJP every day about Love Jihad. In this sequence, Congress leader and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel (Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel) has attacked the BJP. Bhupesh Baghel said that BJP leaders got married in other religions, is this love jihad too?
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said- “I want to ask the leaders of the BJP whether the family members of BJP leaders who have married people of other religion comes under the purview of love-jihad”.
Before Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot attacked the BJP on Friday, saying that ‘love-jihad’ is a term coined by the BJP to divide the country. Gehlot said, “Marriage is a matter of personal liberty and bringing a law to stop it is completely unconstitutional.”
After the Madhya Pradesh UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, following the promise made during a recent election rally, the Home Department of Uttar Pradesh has sent a proposal to the Law Department to bring a strict law against ‘Love Jihad’.
Here, in Bihar, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh has also demanded to make laws regarding Love Jihad. He claimed that this subject has become a problem in the states of the country. The problem of love jihad has to be eradicated and it would be good if a law is introduced to stop love jihad in Bihar.
