The public agenda is hijacked by occurrences, foolishness, irresponsibility and lack of answers. As never before, the distance is abysmal between a government full of superficialities and indifference and a society with many and growing needs.
The maelstrom with which the group in power brings out issues from the top hat and occupies the space with noise, shouts and insults has caused society to find itself in permanent confusion and become distracted from the real problems in Mexico, but the stubborn reality it prevails over the situation and makes these problems bigger and more serious. Preventing Mexico from falling into an economic recession and losing more jobs is possible and urgent. It only takes political will on the part of Morena and that the rulers make responsible and urgent decisions to provide liquidity to the national economy and promote private investment once and for all.
The health of Mexicans is a major issue to which the resources and due attention have not been allocated. Millions of Mexicans have been left without medical attention and without medicines, while the authority is satisfied with miscounting the daily deaths of people who should not suffer from a disease that has become controllable. It is undeniable that the Morena government made a criminal mistake by disappearing Seguro Popular overnight and canceling supplies of medicines.
Day by day it becomes clear that the strategy that the government has implemented against crime is not adequate for the population, which is constantly stripped of its property, its streets and even its life in the face of criminals who act with total impunity and that have diversified their activity, now controlling the transfer of goods such as lemons and avocados. It is time for the authority of the Mexican State to assume its responsibility and not overlap, justify or be an accomplice of criminal acts.
The erratic action that has been taken in educational matters will generate serious consequences for millions of girls and boys, as well as for the National Teachers. The imposition of political interests on the real needs of students has brought with it a severe educational regression that can and must be corrected immediately with a budget, support and professionalization of those who make decisions in the Educational Sector. No more outdated ideological whims that leave our young people without opportunities.
The electrical issue is just the tip of the iceberg of the interdependence that Mexico maintains with the United States and that has crystallized in the T-MEC, an international agreement that, in the face of government inaction, has allowed Mexico to recover a little of what was lost. during the pandemic. However, this agreement contemplates obligations that the Mexican authorities must address and resolve before a binational problem arises.
Needless to say, this attention has not been given with the necessary haste and efficiency. Mexico cannot afford to have a six-year term lost in all senses. We cannot settle for that cruel fate for millions of families. Therefore, all of us must demand that the authorities fully assume their responsibility and govern, once and for all, for the good of all.
