Barça lives in an economic limbo, a transitional situation from present poverty to a hypothetical promised land of abundance, starting in 2025-26, when the new Camp Nou reopens, having paid all deferred payments to the players who had a contract during the pandemic, Leo Messi among them, and there are no longer astronomical contracts and sponsorships have been renewed. It is expected that at that time Barça will stop being a pariah in Europe and will once again be a competitive club, economically and, consequently, sportingly.
