The president of the regional government participates in the institutional act of Congress, and asks the Government of Spain to focus on “guaranteeing water to all Spaniards and under the same conditions”
The president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, assured this Tuesday, on the occasion of the Day of the Spanish Constitution, that it is “worrying” that the central government “depends on those who do not believe in Spain and want to end the Constitution” .
After attending the institutional act held in the Congress of Deputies in Madrid to commemorate 44 years since the approval of the supreme norm of the Spanish legal system, López Miras denounced that “it is more necessary than ever that we defend the Constitution, now that we see too many people and parties focused on attacking and even bringing it down.” In this sense, he affirmed that “it is important that those of us who defend constitutional values are here today.” Likewise, he referred to the “repeal of the crime of sedition so that the Catalan coup leaders can again carry out a coup without consequences.”
In the words of the president, “today we have to claim and celebrate the 44 years of greatest prosperity and freedom, in which our country has been led by the equality of all citizens and also by democracy.” Thus, he expressed the importance of defending “constitutional values, those that we defend our model of coexistence, that we defend in Spain, that we are celebrating and defending these 44 years of the Constitution.”
