The President of the Community regrets the fall in the allocation “in the most expansive Budgets in history”
The president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, described as “very serious” the reduction of the territorialized item for the Region in the bill of the General State Budgets (PGE) for the year 2023. In an act in the Lorca district of La Hoya, the regional chief executive and president of the Murcian People’s Party said that this fall “could not be worse: discrimination, unfair treatment and inequality once again for the Region of Murcia.”
The leader of the popular added that the cut for the Community is “incredible” “two days after” the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, announced that he presented the “most expansive Budgets in the history of Spain.”
In this way, he regretted that “the only autonomous community that is going to receive less budget than last year is the Region of Murcia” and reproached the Government for its “unfair treatment, which harms and harms” the interests of Murcia, although he clarified that he prefers to “wait for the news to be confirmed” since the regional Executive has not been able to study the Budget project.
The mess of the S-80
López Miras made these statements before the act by which the Comprehensive Center of the Association of Parents with Children with Intellectual Disabilities of the Lorca Region (Apandis) has taken the name of its promoter, Pedro Arcas Campoy. However, the president of the Community handled the figures that pointed to a 33.4% decrease in investment in the Region, since the expected expenditure in 2022 was compared, in which the submarine program was included as a specific item. of the Region, with the one foreseen by the Ministry of Finance and Public Function for 2023, in which the money from the S-80 has not been consigned within the territorialized investment for the Murcian community.
The head of the Executive accuses Pedro Sánchez of damaging the interests of the citizens of the Region of Murcia
The reality is that, if the 200 million that the Ministry of Defense allocates for the S-80 are added to the 2023 Budget, the decrease in investment is only 5.8%. If we remove the items from both the 2022 and 2023 accounts, state investment rises even in the Region.
The bill for the General State Budgets was made public yesterday afternoon, after Minister María Jesús Montero took it to the Congress of Deputies, where they begin its parliamentary process. Therefore, the parties of the Region assure that they did not have enough time to carry out a detailed analysis of the documents, for which they refused to make assessments of them yesterday. They summoned today, when the representatives of the Popular Party in the General Courts, both the Congress and the Senate, have called a press conference to discuss the State Budgets. Also from the PSRM-PSOE they plan this Friday to make an assessment of the PGE.
PP and PSRM did not have time yesterday to analyze the accounts in detail and will make their respective assessments today
Political formations have the opportunity to present amendments to the bill during its processing, both in the Congress of Deputies and in the Senate. In principle, the Government of Pedro Sánchez will have no problem carrying out what, ‘a priori’, will be the last Budgets of the legislature. The accounts were agreed by PSOE and United We Can, partners in the Executive, and these parties usually rely on nationalist groups.
In addition, Catalonia is the community in which investment increases the most, which facilitates the ERC’s support for the State Budget bill.
